Mayor's Proclamation: Community Club Awards Day in Peterborough
Introduction (updated Sept. 14, 2011)
Peterborough non-profit clubs and service organizations ("clubs") looking for cash are often strapped for extra volunteers, time and money to raise funds. The challenge is raising funds without extra effort.
Peterborough’s FM 90.5 is now making available $20,000 in cash, for Peterborough County non-profit clubs and organizations. The initiative is called the FM 90.5 Community Club Awards (CCA).
Participation is open to all organizations interested in earning additional funds for their treasuries for charitable, sports, civic, religious, fraternal, social, educational and other worthwhile purposes.
The FM 90.5 CCA program organizes the members, family and friends of Peterborough County clubs and organizations to earn their share of $20,000 in advertiser funded cash awards by doing what they normally do each day – shop. More specifically, shopping at local merchants instead of going out of market.
Each week, for 13 weeks beginning this October (we are getting the Buyers Guides printed for distribution to your club members), the station collects receipts from clubs, tallies them, and we award your club your cash. Cash awards based on volume of activity with our advertisers. Large and small club categories.
Clubs and organizations wanting extra funds can call FM 90.5 Community Club Awards Director Kathy Farley at 705-874-0905. There is no obligation, no cost to participate, and no endorsements are necessary.
