INTRODUCTION

My name is Andy McNabb, of McNabb Broadcasting Peterborough.  I am the former owner of CKLY 910 Radio Lindsay, during its Blue Jays and Maple Leafs years.  

FM 90.5 Peterborough (CJMB FM) is the result of the 2009 CRTC approval of my purchase of the assets of the defunct CKKK FM/KAOS Radio.  That station, under previous ownership, went off the air in 2008.

The station returned to air under my new ownership in late 2010.

The station is now on the air at FM 90.5. 

HOW CAN WE SERVE YOU AND HELP YOU DO WHAT GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO DO?

Why tell us?  Our complementary purposes and strengths call for us to dialogue and work together.

Your church and the station are each purposed to share with all, that the risen Christ is Lord and Saviour; and that we are all to edify, exhort, and comfort the saints.

Your church and FM 90.5 have complementary strengths.  Your church is on the front lines of ministering the gospel.  We’re connecting with the community 24/7.  It’s a perfect match.

FORMAT STRATEGY

FM 90.5 is a Peterborough focused radio station: the only radio station with local news every hour, plus daily, local, call-in talk shows hearing from Peterborough citizens about matters of local importance, faith and family; plus uplifting Christian talk and bible teaching programs.

Make no mistake – this will be, first and foremost, a locally intensive, Christian radio station.

We are not competing with Life FM that originates from Barrie.  When they’re rockin’, we’ll be talkin’.  At the times when we’re both playing music, ours has a “not too hard, not too soft” sound that is inspirationally focused.

WHO DO YOU KNOW WHO COULD CATALYZE COMPELLING CONVERSATIONS, AND HOST ONE TALK SHOW PER WEEK ON LOCAL MATTERS OF LOCAL IMPORTANCE, FAITH AND FAMILY?
We’re looking for local pastors & lay people who would be interested in hosting our call-in talk shows, to be heard Monday – Friday beginning winter 2011. You’d host one afternoon or more per week (full training provided). It’s a powerful way to minister and reach out.
